Shaving before each IPL treatment is highly recommended but not strictly required as long as the hair is below 3mm. Body hair grows at an average rate of 0.3 to 0.45 mm per day. Keeping hair short helps the IPL device effectively target the hair follicles without interference from longer hair, which can absorb light energy and potentially lead to discomfort and less effective treatment. Hair left on the skin may burn during treatment, causing an unpleasant smell. It’s important to clean any vaporized hair residue from the light-emitting window with a wipe as needed.

No, the device should be used on bare skin without any makeup or skincare products.

Do not use it more than once every 2 days. Please refer to the recommended frequency and timing in the Treatment Frequency Schedule section on page 14 in the user manual.

Depending on your body type and condition, your skin may temporarily redden or experience pain. Mild redness is normal. You can also stop using the device and cool and moisturize your skin.

If the symptoms subside within three days, use the device at a level that does not cause symptoms.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer for the appropriate intensity level; it depends on your skin’s tolerance. Generally, darker skin should start with lower intensity levels (L1-2). Always begin with lower levels (L1-2) and perform a patch test. Higher intensity levels can lead to quicker results and shorter overall treatment times, while lower settings may require longer treatment periods.

During treatments, light energy generates heat as it targets the melanin in hair follicles, which may cause some discomfort. This is normal and varies based on individual pain tolerance and skin sensitivity.

However, our IPL device is equipped with advanced Sapphire Skin Protection Cooling Technology, which helps mitigate discomfort by cooling the skin and reducing the sensation of heat. Start by testing the lowest intensity setting and gradually increase it as needed. The cooling technology will help enhance your comfort during the process.

IPL treatments target hair follicles in the growth phase. At any given time, only about 20% of your hair is in this phase, which is why multiple treatments are necessary to address all hair.

Additionally, IPL hair removal is not permanent. It places hair follicles in a dormant state, so maintenance treatments are needed to sustain results. The hair you currently have will eventually fall out, grow slower, ,and become finer, leading to reduced hair growth in the treated area over time.

The flash intensity level maybe too low. For the next treatment, consider increasing the intensity level, but be sure to do a skin patch test first with the new setting.

The treatment frequency may be lower than recommended. To keep your skin hairless, use the device once every 1-2 weeks or once every 2 days for the first 1-2 months, then gradually decrease usage over time. Do not use it more frequently than once every 2 days. Note that this treatment interval can vary depending on your individual hair growth cycle.
