Solid alternative to rotary
The foil cuts closer than my Remington's rotary heads. The only downside is the Touch 2 works best on shorter stubble—you gotta trim first if it's been a few days. Remington handles longer hair better.

Best shave ever
The aesthetic, material design and build quality is stunning. Easily the best built head shaver I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot. More importantly, it shaves as close to a razor as I've gotten from an electric. The big issue is the ergonomics - it's top heavy and awkward to hold near the blade. The finger grip cutouts look nice but require too much squeezing pressure. That said, using it by holding it at the base of the shaver gives me probably the best, quickest, and closest head shaves I've ever had. What would normally take 5-8 circular passes with a Freebird, Groomie or Pitbull shaver is done in 1-2 passes with the Aberlite, the benefits of that caused way, way less irritation than my other shavers and made the whole experience very enjoyable. If you nailed the ergonomics with this shaver it would be the best in class, hands down.

Can I continue using my Touch 2 if the foil is damaged or has holes?
No, stop using the device immediately if you notice any damage to the foil system. Using a damaged foil can cause cuts and nicks, hair pulling and tugging, skin irritation and razor burn, and ingrown hairs. Continued use can also harm the internal blade mechanism.
Inspect your foils regularly for cracks, holes, or bent areas. We recommend purchasing a replacement foil set on aberlite.com. See the Outer Foil & Inner Blade Information section (p10) and Maintenance Schedule section (p9) for more information.
How often should I shave my head?
Shaving frequency depends on personal preference and hair growth. For a consistently smooth shave, users with fast-growing hair might shave every 1-2 days, while others may only need to shave every few days.
How short or long should my hair be to use my head shaver?
We recommend reducing growth to about 0.5 mm or less (roughly 1-2 days of regrowth for most men) so the shaver can glide smoothly without pulling. Longer hair may reduce performance and cause discomfort. We recommend using a trimmer (e.g. Aberlite Trim 14 Electric Trimmer), clippers, or a rotary shaver to get your hair down to size.
Can I use shaving cream or gel while using my head shaver?
Yes, you can use shaving cream or gel with your head shaver. It is rated IPX6 waterproof. Using cream or gel can help reduce friction and provide a smoother, more comfortable shave, especially if you have sensitive skin.
