How to get the closest shave
- Prep the hair. Trim down to 1–2 day stubble (0.5mm or less) with clippers, a trimmer or a rotary first, and shave on clean, dry skin. Damp works too if your scalp runs sensitive.
- Use the right hand grip. The comfort grooves let you change your hold as you move around the head, so the foils stay flat to the skin on the crown, the sides and the nape.
- Smooth, straight strokes against the grain. Not circles. Work out which way the hair lies on each part of your head and go the opposite way.
- Light pressure. Let the foils do the work. Pressing harder makes it worse, not closer.
- Rinse the head under the tap. Cap the foils. Done in under 5 minutes.
