GREAT SHAVER
★★★★★
The Touch 2 delivers an incredibly close shave, but you need to prep correctly. I learned you have to trim longer hair down to stubble first (1-2 days growth works best). Once I figured that out, the results are amazing. The ergonomic design makes it easy to reach around my ears and the back of my head.

BARBERSHOP SMOOTH
★★★★★
It's actually smooth. Like, barbershop smooth. Done in under 5 minutes. I'm honestly annoyed I wasted six years on my old rotary.

REALLY WORKS
★★★★★
My girlfriend says my head feels like a dolphin lol. But seriously, the smoothness is unreal. Zero nicks. The foils are crazy thin and you can definitely feel the difference from rotary. Takes me about 5 minutes and I'm done.

The Touch 2’s 0.05 mm ultra-thin hypoallergenic foils cut 4–6x closer than rotary shavers (0.2–0.3 mm Thick Outer Foil), delivering unmatched smoothness.
0.20mm
Thicker guard sits 0.20mm above the skin, leaving noticeable micro-stubble behind.
0.05mm
Ultra-thin hypoallergenic titanium foil eliminates friction and gets right at root level for an irritation-free finish.
A rotary shaver’s outer guard measures 0.2–0.3mm. Ours is 0.05mm. That gap is the entire difference between hair cut above the skin line and hair cut at it, and it is visible under a microscope.
Foil thickness is Aberlite’s published spec. The rotary figure is our own measurement, because no rotary brand publishes a guard-thickness spec.

Significant stubble, uneven texture, visible shafts standing off the scalp.

Visible hair shafts remain above the surface. This is the “sandpaper by noon” feeling: the shave was never as close as it felt.

The ultra-thin foil captures hair flush to the surface for a finish that’s smooth to the touch and still smooth at the end of the day.
The engineering is in the spec sheet. This is what it does to your morning.

No sandpaper feel creeping back by lunchtime. The shave you get at 7am is the one you still have at dinner.

Men arrive here with a drawer full of rejected shavers. This is the one they stop searching after, including against $225 rotaries.

Two foils working in a single pass mean fewer strokes over the same patch of skin. That is why the bumps and the burn drop off.

Foils are the one part that wears. Two full packs ship with the kit, four complete replacements, and when you do need more you buy them when you want. No refill plan, no bill in six weeks.

The back of your head is the bit everyone misses. Comfort grooves let you change your hold as you move around, which is what keeps the foils flat to the skin on the crown and the nape. No second mirror, no help.

At $25 a barber visit, the kit clears its own cost inside a few months, then keeps going with nothing attached.
Touch 2 is the finishing step, not a one-tool replacement for your clippers. Knock the length down to 1–2 days' growth with whatever you already own, then let the foils finish it. It is the same order of operations your barber uses, and it is why the result holds all day.
Full technique is in How to get the closest shave at the top of this page.

Clippers, trimmer or your old rotary. 60 seconds.

Straight strokes, against the grain. Light pressure.
“Absolutely the closest shave I've ever had on my head. I tried 3 different rotary head shavers and they don't even come close. No more sandpaper feel.”
“I have the $225 Pitbull and it does not get as close as this. Do it like they say and you will get the closest head shave out of any electric shaver.”
“As a black male I finally found a shaver that actually works for my kind of hair.”
“I've been shaving my head for 20+ years, mostly with razors. It really does shave as close as a blade razor, without the fuss.”
“It's actually smooth. Like, barbershop smooth. Done in under 5 minutes. I'm honestly annoyed I wasted six years on my old rotary.”
“I used to go to the barber at $25 a pop. This thing paid for itself in less than a month.”
“The Touch 2 exceeds my high expectations. My sensitive scalp used to get irritated with every trim — no longer so with the Touch 2.”
“I originally bought a Freebird Pro, which is also a very good shaver. However the Aberlite gets much closer.”
All the ads are spot on. The Touch 2 provides a superior shave to my previous electric. Ridiculously close and in less time. Should have purchased this sooner.
Doesn't feel cheap, it shaves very close to skin, works very well , would buy again. Thank you.
Best way to get as close as any Barber has done
I love them
I used the touch 2 for the first time and after shaving my head for the last 30 years and spending an exuberant amount of dollars on every razor made this is by far the best shave I've had!! I am saving up for the 3 pack of the lotion's to try! Thank you!
A+++
You've been let down by a head shaver before. Buy this one the way you'd buy anything you don't yet believe: on the condition that it proves itself.
Shave with it for 30 days. If it isn't the closest shave you've had from an electric, send it back for a full refund. No restocking fee, no argument.
Defective unit inside two years, we replace it with a brand-new one. You don't have to keep a subscription active to hold onto your warranty, unlike the plans some brands attach to theirs.

Close enough that most men stop reaching for the blade. Two honest points though: you need to trim down to stubble first, and you need light pressure and straight strokes against the grain. Men who follow those two rules are the ones writing "closest shave I've ever had". Men who press hard on week-old stubble are not.
Most men who want a genuinely smooth head shave every 1-2 days. If your hair grows slowly, or a faint shadow doesn't bother you, every 2-3 days is fine. Daily or every-other-day is the sweet spot for this shaver specifically, because at that length you never let the hair get long enough to need the clippers first. You just pick it up and go.
Yes, if your hair gets longer than about 0.5mm (1–2 days' growth). Touch 2 works the way a barber finish does. Plenty of customers keep their old rotary purely as the pre-pass and use Touch 2 to polish. If you shave daily, you'll rarely need anything else.
Yes to both. The shaver is IPX6 rated, so cream, gel or a damp scalp are all fine, and any of them can cut friction if your skin runs sensitive. Dry is faster, and most men end up shaving dry once they've got the technique. If you do use cream or gel, rinse the foil head and dry it afterwards so nothing sets in the mesh.
Each pack holds 2 complete replacement heads and covers 6 - 12 months of shaving, 3-6 months per head. Where you land inside that depends almost entirely on how often you shave: daily shavers sit at the shorter end, every other day or less at the longer end. Coarse hair and heavy pressure shorten it; a light touch and between shaves lengthen it. Foils are 0.05mm thin. That is the whole point, and it is also why they need care. Three rules: (1) put the protective cover back on between shaves, (2) never press hard against your scalp, (3) don't drop it on a tile floor foil-first. Stop using a foil immediately if you see a hole, crack or bend.
2–2.5 hours of runtime per charge, which is weeks of daily shaving. Full recharge takes 2.5 hours over USB‑C, so it charges off the same cable and adapters as everything else you own, anywhere in the world. The LCD shows the exact percentage before you start, so you're never caught with half a head done.
No, and there never will be one attached to your price or your warranty. This kit ships with two full spare packs, four heads, and when you need more you buy them when you want to. Nothing renews on its own and nothing lapses if you leave it. That matters more than it sounds: Freebird's 60%-off price and its lifetime warranty both depend on keeping an active refill plan alive at $24.95 every 6 weeks. Skull Shaver and Manscaped both price their member rate below their standing rate. If you stop paying any of them, you lose something. With us there is nothing to stop paying.
The offset double-foil system cuts at skin level in one pass, which is the mechanism behind fewer ingrowns and less razor burn than blades or rotaries. If your scalp runs sensitive, shave on damp skin, use the included pre-shave oil, and finish with the aftershave balm. Don't shave over existing cuts or active irritation.
Yes. It's one of the most common things Black customers write in about. The foil system handles coarse and curly textures, and cutting at the skin line rather than pulling above it is what keeps bumps down. Same rules apply: trim first, light pressure. It's built for the head and face; it won't be comfortable or effective on the rest of your body.
Send it back inside 30 days for a full refund of the product price. No restocking fee. Email support@aberlite.com and we'll give you a return address. After 30 days, the 2-year warranty covers defects with a brand-new replacement.
